SAP PP Application Consultant
Essential Skills
- Several years of hands-on SAP experience, particularly in SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP) and Variant Configuration (VC).
- Strong understanding of production, planning, and supply chain processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in SAP customization and system configuration.
- Ability to gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into functional solutions.
- SAP De-bugging (ABAP/Fiori).
- Solid knowledge of integration points with adjacent SAP modules such as MM, SD, QM, and EWM.
- B2 minimum in both German and English languages.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with SAP Automotive solutions (e.g., IS-A).
- Project and consulting experience within a manufacturing organization.
- Experience managing (sub-)projects.
- Familiarity with end-to-end production scenarios such as make-to-stock, make-to-order, and engineer-to-order.
- Knowledge of emerging SAP technologies such as Fiori Apps, Embedded Analytics, and S/4HANA Best Practices.
- Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives in production environments.
About the Role
This position is part of the SAP Application Management function within a well-established manufacturing organization.
The role is responsible for the ongoing support, optimization, and further development of SAP S/4HANA modules, with a focus on Production Planning and Variant Configuration. You will act as an internal consultant to business stakeholders, working closely with production, planning, and supply chain teams to design and implement effective SAP solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, customizing, and implementing solutions in production planning, manufacturing control, and detailed scheduling.
- Ensuring seamless integration across related SAP modules.
- Supporting stable system operations, including incident and problem management.
- Contributing to company-wide projects, particularly those focused on digitalizing production processes.
- Coordinating external service providers where required.
- Supporting testing, training, rollouts, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
